rain meister …Pedro Rodriguez (teamed up with Leo Kinnunen) absolutely dominated a torrential 1970 BOAC 1000km at Brands Hatch in his Gulf Porsche 917K
after having only qualified 7th on the grid in dry conditions, come race day Rodriguez just annilihated the rest of the field, showing his supreme wet weather skills in combination with a perfect Porsche 917K, he drove 5 & a half hours of the 6 hour race & put the rest of the field on minimum 5 lapsthat other rain specialist Jacky Ickx (in the factory Ferrari 512S) also fought for the lead, but was hampered by a failing rain wiperwatch a great review of the race here
